About me

I have 16 years of experience in all aspects of user-interface design, ranging from user research and product strategy to detailed design.

From 1998 to 2003, I was Director of Design and Analysis at Aaron Marcus and Associates, a pioneering user-interface design firm. In that post, I was the design lead for critical projects, while mentoring and overseeing our staff of 14 designers. I advanced the firm by refining its design methodology and expanding its service offerings. During this period, we doubled the size of our design staff in California and New York. I wrote and spoke internationally on the principles, methods and philosophy of interaction design.

Since 2003, I have been designing and consulting independently on user experience strategy and design for Fortune 500 companies such as eBay, Nokia, Siemens, and Bose. My work covers a wide range of domains and is featured on web sites, web apps, desktop apps, and devices.

I am currently working at Shutterfly driving breakthroughs in their core business, helping users to share life's moments and preserve its memories.

Besides design, I devote myself to photography and making music and furry things.
